Shaneel Lal is the founder of the Conversion Therapy Action Group, the group that led the movement to ban conversion therapy in Aotearoa. They were named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List in 2022 and in 2023, were awarded Young New Zealander of the Year. Shaneel has released the bestselling memoir One of Them. They recently completed their law studies at the University of Auckland.
