Climate Change has been a topic of interest for Gray since she was 10, founding her first environmental group in primary school. Lucy Gray is a singer/songwriter come environmental activist who founded the Ōtautahi branch of School Strike for Climate. Co-convening the Aotearoa team in 2019 she helped to plan the September strike making a mark in New Zealand history with over 160,000 people marching. She's now recording and releasing music, and about to release her debut EP.
