I am still new to Aotearoa New Zealand having worked and trained in the UK as an Emergency Medicine Consultant up until July last year. In my former life I worked at a major trauma centre in Sheffield and I now work in Timaru Hospital in the beautiful Te Waipounamu - South Island.

My work passions include medical education where I have undertaken a simulation fellowship as part of my training and have been involved in the RCEMLearning project since its inception. I contribute to the monthly podcast with a focus on guidelines relevant to Emergency Medicine. I enjoy learning and teaching evidence based medicine, but definitely consider myself an enthusiastic amateur rather than an academic! I enjoy 'consuming' the work of other excellent educators through online discussions, podcasts and courses.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors (and it really is great here) with my family or enjoying some alone time out on my bike!
