Brooke is a dynamic Paediatric Emergency Nurse currently working at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland. Since completing her post grad certificate in Paediatric acute care and a passion ignited from working frontline in the Paediatric Emergency Brooke has developed a wide variety of clinical research interests, especially in cannulation, Mental Health and pain management.

Brooke has recently published outcomes in JAMA peds that is creating international interest after completing a groundbreaking multi-site RCT examining cannula securement in children and looks forward to making clinical change at the bedside. Brooke’s mission? To drive change and enhance the hospital experience for children globally.

When she’s not in the ED, Brooke can be found cheering her kids on the sidelines of the soccer (real football, of course!) fields or trying to keep pace with her 2 energetic grandbabies.
